The country of the extraordinary variety – this is how the Dominican Republic is usually named. The attractions for any tastes, beginning with delightful beaches, and finishing with spectacular waterfalls, and sun-baked deserts wait for the tourists in the country. A kaleidoscope of influences (Spanish, African) is reflected in architecture, traditions, and culture. The beaches at Playa del Macao are perfectly suited for the idle relaxation, swimming and doing nothing.
Visit a small fishing village of El Macao, located nearby, and you can witness the traces of the country’s past. If you consider yourself a nature lover we can recommend you a trip to one of the area's largest wild reserves and bird sanctuaries near Lago Enriquillo, a huge salt-water lake. Parque Nacional del Este is also worth visited. Being one of the largest marine parks in the Caribbean, it welcomes the tourists with different bird species and spectacular offshore coral reef system.
